About Us

Courageous Tails:

We at Courageous Tails have experienced first hand the positive impact animals have made in our lives. In order to give back, members of our team created a way of honoring the animals and working dogs who have provided us with so much joy, dedication, and inspiration. No matter what, they are always there for us.

To honor these wonderful animals, we are working to raise awareness and support for working dogs, and rescue animal organizations.

With a wide range of experience in film, graphic arts, and illustration, our artists take time away from their regular work to locate and capture moments in the lives of working dogs and rescued animals. Various forms of artistry capture animals while at home, passing through their frequented or favorite places, and while hard at work.

During our visits with working dog handlers, free photo sessions and digital prints from those sessions are provided to handlers. Photos are provided so handlers may have memories of their partners, and so they know we care and appreciate what they do.

Upon return from our travels, our artists spend hours editing photos and film, painting, and creating various types of media, which are used to share the stories of these courageous animals. Our mission is to raise awareness and support by sharing the "Courageous Tails" of our four legged heroes.

Upon completion of our work, we offer a number of items for sale to the public to include, video, books, calendars, prints, cards, and additional items. Proceeds from items purchased are both donated and used to support a number of working dogs and animal rescue organizations throughout the country.

In addition to raising support and awareness through our artwork, Courageous Tails member Dr. Meaghan Corbett provides assistance to service dogs by volunteering her time to provide veterinary care.

Law enforcement officer and veteran Jim Corbett provides presentations to first responders and the public regarding the emotional impact a dog can have on an officer’s life. Having visited with working dog teams across the county and overseas, Jim shares stories of the profound bond between K9 and handler to include the impact dogs can have when managing post-traumatic stress and the grieving process.

Thank you for your support!
